Corot-7B Space Art Illustration Postcard

This ESO space art illustration is an artist's concept of the exoplanet Corot-7B. This planet is about five times the size of the Earth, and is situated very close to its star, which is similar to the Sun. Surface temperatures on Corot-B are thought to reach 2000 degrees C in the day, and -200 degrees at night. In this image, the planet's surface is covered in boiling lava. Image Credit: ESO/L.
