This narrow street that bisects the Copenhagen City Hall are crowded with cars, bicycles and sidewalk cafe tables. Narrow three- and four- story colourful buildings line each side of the street.
The Copenhagen City Hall, opened in 1905, was designed in National Romantic style with inspiration from the Siena, Italy, City Hall. The tall, slim clock tower, shown here, is 346 feet (105.6 metres) tall, making the city hall one of the tallest buildings in Copenhagen.
