Conciergerie Postcard

This is the Conciergerie in Paris, France, and in front of it the Pont Napoleon crosses the Seine River. The Conciergerie started as a palace and was then converted to a prison. Marie Antoinette spent her last days here before being brought to the guillotine duing the French Revolution. It now houses a museum. The photo was taken at twilight, and the lights of Paris have started to come on as the sun has set and night descends on the City of Light. They cast beautiful reflections on the river. This is a popular Parisian tourist attraction and a gorgeous example of gothic architecture.
