It seems like such a simple concept yet many of us seem to have lost the ability to do just that. Instead, we have allowed our Republic to be stolen from us and the manner in which we live our lives dictated to us by a handful of self-serving individuals in Washington, DC. I cast the first stone at myself - I was no different than most until about 4 years ago. Because I am old enough to remember the tail end of what real Liberty and Freedom felt like during the late 1960's/early 1970's - I know what the fruit of our Republic is supposed to taste like and I want it back. The irony is that in this country, most people share similar beliefs yet we allow ourselves to fight each other because of bi-partisan politics. The politicians laugh at us because they know that as long as we continue to fight amongst ourselves, we are weak and are not a threat to them - and they are happy to provide the raw meat that makes us fight. United we stand, divided we fall - that is what this old quotation means. We must recognize the true enemy and JOIN TOGETHER to take back OUR Republic.
