Though not a large image a historical and memorable one. This image was named after a distinctive scene from a movie filmed in the area in the late 1970's. This image of the original Coney Island Thunderbolt was taken approximately 1992 (date cannot be guaranteed). This ride is particularly special to the artist as he rode it one time as a child and never saw it in operation again. This spawned a life long relationship with roller coasters and the amusement industry. For those who know Coney Island "today" (2016), there is a steel roller coaster also named Thunderbolt standing in this same approximate location.
