Combat Assault Battalion is a mechanized battalion of the Marines. Their primary weapon systems are the Amphibious Assault Vehicle, LAV-25 and various engineering vehicles. CAB is a subordinate element part of the 3rd Marine Division and the III Marine Expeditionary Force. The unit is based at Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan. Engagements: (World War II) Battles of Guadalcanal, New Britain, Peleliu, & Okinawa. (Korean War) Battles of Pusan Perimeter, Inchon, & the Chosin Reservoir. (Vietnam War) Battle of Da Nang & the Battle of Cua Viet. The CAB is ready to be deployed at anytime if needed.
