Colours of the Rainbow

This label displays a colourful abstract design, displaying the colours of the rainbow, one of the most beautiful sights in nature. A rainbow is created when light from the sun’s rays illuminates droplets of water in the Earth’s atmosphere. Raindrops act like a prism taking in white light and then refracting that light into separate bands of colour. The result is a multi-coloured circular arc or bow with a progression of colours from red to violet. The seven main colours of the rainbow are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. Some other colours that may also be seen are pink, cyan, and purple. The resulting rainbow also includes colours of the spectrum that our eyes are unable to see.
