Colorado has the most fourteeners (Peaks that are 14,000 ft. or more Above sea level) than any other state, Alaska comes in second at 29 (though Alaska is where all the biggest are) California is third with 12 and Washington 4th with one. Colorado is a spectacular place to visit, especially if you love the outdoors. Besides large mountains to climb there are beautiful rivers and streams to raft, kayak or fish in, obviously large mountains mean snow sports galore in winter and it is an artists paradise whether you paint, take photographs or just need inspiration to write.
