Collaged Postcard - Souvenirs
This collage is called Souvenirs. The title is French,literally meaning "memories". It's certainly about travel in the physical sense, but also about travel through time. The things we hold on to, photos, bits of glass, trinkets, are physical repositories for memories. Through these collected objects, we all become time travelers. I used bits of vintage imagery like old coupons, photos, antique buttons, text from a French book, keys, beach glass, etc. to form a mixed media collection of keepsakes from far flung places.
