This is a digitally enhanced print of an antique Compton Litho Company's 1884 lithograph for John C. Salzgeber's Patent Steam Coffee Roaster advertising card. The text on the top reads "John C. Salzgeber's Patent Steam Coffee Roaster 907 N. Fourth St. St. Louis." The text on the left side reads " New Process. NO DIRECT CONTACT WITH FIRE OR SMOKE. By this Process the Aroma and Strength of Coffee is increased More than twenty five per cent over any other method of roasting."
