John Scott The Marshall 1847 The three-masted clipper ship "George Marshall"(unknown if it's the same ship) was intentionally run aground at Marshall Bay on Flinders Island on January 15, 1862. The ship had hit a submerged rock northwest of the bay at night. No lives were lost and the ship's cargo was salvaged.
