Cleopatra's Needle, Central Park, NYC - Postcard

Cleopatra's Needle in New York City is one of a pair of obelisks, together named Cleopatra's Needles, that were moved from the ruins of the Caesareum of Alexandria, Egypt, in the 19th century. A single piece of stone carved out of red granite at the quarries of Aswan, the obelisk stands about 69 feet high, weighs about 220 tons, and is inscribed with Egyptian hieroglyphs.
