MacLeod Of Lewis Tartan designed by The Sobieski Stewarts, the tartan is a vibrant gold yellow and black with yellow and red rods. The Macleod tartan is sometimes jokingly referred to as, The Loud Macleod. The tartan pattern consists of horizonal and vertical bands of differing colors originally woven in wool but can now be made from many more materials and also printed directly onto materials. Tartan is particularly associated with Scotland; Scottish kilts almost always have tartan patterns.
