This is small chunk of what Broadway street looked like in 1913, as seen from Canal St. There was quite a bit of construction of some kind, probably for a building that doesn't exist today. On the left is the Liberty Garter company, which employed a number of families living in tenements all used to make their items. And there were a lot of tripping hazards everywhere.
