circa 1920 bashful Harry Tile

Bashful Harry was so bashful that he would never raise his hat more than a quarter of an inch above his eyes, thinking that ‘If I can’t see you, you can’t see me.’ He often plowed into walls, telephone poles, and tripped over the occasional fire plug, before expiring at age 97 on January 1, 1997 where he mistakenly began high stepping with one of the fancy brigades in the Mummers parade, passing away from exhaustion by the time they got to Two Street.
