Flat Christmas card inspired by a watercolor painting by Swedish artist Jenny Nyström (1854 – 1946).
The picture shows a smiling Christmas brownie (tomte) outside a barn. The brownie is standing in the snow, hands on his waist, and he's looking very pleased. A broom is leaning against the barn door, indicating that the he's been helping the farmers with their chores. The name of the painting tells the same thing: After the cleaning work (Efter sluttet rydningsarbeide). The brownie is accompanied by a cat who is affectionately rubbing itself against his legs.

We loved how they turned out! I think next year I'll make sure to add some shine to the cards. I think it may help the picture look better. It was a little dull but my husband liked them like that. Overall great! The cutting wasn't the best! I'd say about 10 or so had to be hand cut before I sent them out. They had a bit of white showing from where they had been cut between the pictures. Overall though we were very happy! Looked a bit dull but could be because they were matte.
