This historically unique, copyrighted and trademarked design and name, the “Christian Butterfly”® were given to Max Greiner, Jr. by God in early October of 1986, as he sought God for a jewellery birthday gift idea for his wife, Sherry. The artist cried out in prayer: “God, I give up! I need a good idea quick please!” Instantly, the image of the ichthus fish symbol with butterfly wings appeared in Max’s mind! The designer immediately responded: “Great idea, LORD!” Thousands of people around the world, in over 65 countries, have been blessed by this inspired design. The butterfly has always symbolized metamorphosis. However, the “Christian Butterfly”® clearly represents the transformation of a person into a “New Creation” (II Corinthians 5:17), when they give their life to Jesus Christ. I was originally happy about my purchase and Nana loved the gift. HOWEVER, the description specifically says that these are microwave and dishwasher safe, BUT the first time Nana put this mug in the dishwasher it was destroyed. Not impressed..
