Reproduction of a Northern Renaissance painting by Flemish artist Pieter Brueghel of the Netherlands. The scene depicts a scene from the passion of Christ, heavy laden with the instrument of his crucifixion, swallowed up by the crowds that do not recognize the Saviour in their midst. The Messiah, in the centre of the painting, is barely visible, the point being made that the world is too busy and preoccupied to notice the sacrifice being made on their behalf. One group stands in contrast, the handful of sorrowful disciples that surround Mary the Mother of God in the foreground.
