Chocolate Hills in Bohol Postcard
The Chocolate Hills are a famous geological formation located in the Bohol province of the Philippines. The Chocolate Hills consist of at least 1,260 hills, but there may be as many as 1,776 hills spread over an area of more than 50 square kilometres. These hills are made of grass-covered limestone that turns chocolate brown during the dry season, hence the name. These hills are conical karst hills formed by the dissolution of limestone by rainfall, surface water, and groundwater, followed by erosion.
