Children Going to Market (by John Lee) Jigsaw Puzzle

This design features a painting by the British Victorian artist John Lee (active 1850–1870), who worked in a Pre-Raphaelite style. It depicts two children, a girl and a boy, travelling to market in a beautiful rural landscape. The girl is riding on the back of a donkey, and she is carrying wooden baskets, which will hold the produce bought at market. The boy is walking alongside his sister and her donkey; he is carrying a bag on his back. They are travelling through a farmer's field, and an animal can be seen grazing on the grass in the background. Further back there are tall trees and mountains. The mountainous landscape and the children are possibly both intended to be Welsh.
