This design features a painting by American impressionist artist Edward Henry Potthast (1857–1927), who was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. Edward Henry Potthast is especially well known for his paintings of people at leisure in Central Park, and on the beaches of New York and New England. This painting shows a girl and boy running together through the surf as the waves lap at their feet on the beach. It is a beautiful image of friendship, captured with great dynamism and skill. The original work was completed circa 1918.
