Universal affordable child care has become essential for our modern lifestyles that empower both men and women in the workforce. This includes education from preschool through kindergarten, grade school, middle school and high school. Plus, child daycare for infants and toddlers. We also expect the schools to do far more than educate. They are responsible for giving kids a safe and enriching environment during the day and providing breakfast and lunch for those who can’t afford meals at home. If business and industry is to prosper, child care has to be part of the critical support system of human infrastructure that enables the workforce.
