This is in part because the ancient stone calendar abruptly curtails its predictions and references to the future at that point. Who knows, maybe they just ran out of stone to fit more information in and we'll discover a 2nd stone calendar in November 2011. (I'm an optimist). Either way, the Mayan culture has held modern Man's awe and admiration for centuries and no doubt, will continue to do so long after New Year's day of 2013. Designed to symbolise the planetary alignment in the moments prior to the Great Eclipse of 2012, this beautiful image will serve as a tribute to this powerful culture.
