Susan Gainen is a watercolor and digital artist who lives in an apartment with no access to chicken roosts other than those in her imagination. The Backyard Roosters of Saint Paul (Minnesota) are in a growing flock. Unlike most chickens and roosters, this flock is all-roosters-all-the-time. I painted this particular rooster on a whim and took it to show to my book group. I was delighted to learn that the hostess for the night collected rooster images, and was delighted to add it to her collection. Collect all of the Backyard Roosters of Saint Paul postcards.
