The Icelandic mare in the painting is based on my Grey Icelandic mare, when she was younger. I tried to keep the ground simple as I wanted the horse to stand out. I have a problem with making things too detailed. The painting is 99.9% Watercolor pencil, used like you would Watercolor cakes

This mug was exactly as described. I have purchased the stainless steel one before and the white is a nice change (stainless steel inside). I found the lavender purple a little light for my liking but that's my fault. Next time I'll choose a more grapey purple.
