They named him “Champ” because
when Joe Biden was a boy, his father
gave him the nickname, “Champ”,
to encourage him.
“MAJOR” was adopted as a puppy
in 2018 by Joe & Jill Biden from
the Delaware Humane Association.
He is the first-ever shelter dog to
live in the White House.
