Psalterium Georgii, Fluvius Eridanus, Cetus, Officina Sculptoris, Fornax Chemica, and Machina Electrica
Cetus is a constellation. Its name refers to Cetus, a sea monster in Greek mythology, although it is often called 'the whale' today. Cetus is located in the region of the sky known as the Water, along with other watery constellations such as Aquarius, Pisces, and Eridanus.
Psalterium Georgii (also Harpa Georgii) (Latin for George's harp) was a constellation created by Maximilian Hell in 1789 to honour George III of Great Britain. It was created from northern stars in Eridanus and was located next to the constellation Taurus, so as to include 10 Tauri. It is no longer in use.
Fluvius Eridanus: Eridanus (pronounced /ɨˈrɪdənəs/) is a constellation. It is represented as a river; its name is the Ancient Greek name for the Po River. It was one of the 48 constellations listed by the 2nd century astronomer Ptolemy, and it remains one of the 88 modern constellations. It is the sixth largest of the modern constellations. Eridanus constellation is called srotaswini in Sanskrit. srótas means the current, stream, torrent, channel, course. In Indian Astronomy this constellation is cited as the Ganges on the head of Dakshinamoorthy an Hindu God cited to be incarnation of Siva. Orion is considered as Dakshinamoorthy in Indian Astronomy.
Officina Sculptoris: Sculptor is a small and faint constellation in the southern sky. It represents a sculptor. It was introduced by Nicolas Louis de Lacaille in the 18th century. He originally named it Apparatus Sculptoris (the sculptor's studio), but the name was later shortened.
Fornax Chemica: Fornax is a constellation in the southern sky. Its name is Latin for furnace. It was identified in the 18th century and is now one of the 88 modern constellations.
Machina Electrica (Latin for electricity generator) was a constellation created by Johann Bode in 1800. He created it from a southern part of constellation Cetus. It was never popular and is no longer in use.
Hand-coloured engraving on card created by Sidney Hall for Jehoshaphat Aspin's 1825 work, A Familiar Treatise on Astronomy. Original cards have holes where the stars are to let light shine through.
