Cazique of Poyais T-Shirt
The Poyais scheme of Gregor MacGregor is known as one of the most brazen confidence tricks in history. In the early 1800's he convinced almost 200 people to emigrate to a fabricated Central American colony called "Poyais". He went as far as exchanging currency to would-be settlers, selling official government positions, and issuing Poyaisian bonds on the London Stock Exchange. The front of this shirt displays MacGregor's claimed title "Cazique of Poyais". While the back features an illustration of MacGregor.
