Cats for Scottish Independence Card
This fun card for cat lovers and supporters of Scottish independence features a vintage illustration of an alley cat with a speech bubble that says, 'Mee-aye!' In the background are illustrations of Scottish thistles. The thistle is the flower of Scotland. Cats are very independent creatures and if they were allowed to vote in the 2014 referendum then of course they would say yes. The cat first appeared in 1918 on the sheet music cover for the musical 'Me-ow One Step' published by Sam Fox Pub. Co. of Cleveland, Ohio. The ragtime song has just one word in the lyrics, namely 'meow!' The music was written by Mel Kaufman and the words by Harry Kerr. The card would be perfect for friends and family who support independence for Scotland and who love cats.
