    This is a HUGE mug, guaranteed to please the biggest tea and coffee fan! Based on the painting "Girl with a Pearl Earring," done in 1665 by Johannes Vermeer, this gloriously magnificent mug features a not-so-famous Canadian tabby cat named Bella. One day her owner took a photo of Mizz Bella in much the same pose as the famous painting. She posted the pic on Facebook and wrote, "All she needs is a pearl earring." Well. The next thing I knew I was painting Bella in that same pose, and gave the finished product to Bella's owner for Christmas in 2019. If you're a cat lover, or an art lover, or both (!), you'll give this mug pride of place in your kitchen cupboard!

    I was looking for a cheerful, vibrantly coloured, fun, extra large , MCM designed mug for my first coffee of the day. This fits the bill! The print is purrfect and the colours are SO vibrant. The design definitely gives a true MCM vibe. The placement of the art is the only negative for me. I would prefer the main image be on opposite sides of the mug, rather than placed so close together, and not able to be seen by the drinker (me!) or the person opposite me (if there is one :-).
