The Cask of Amontillado by Edgar Allan Poe continues to be one of my favourites to share with students. At first, they only recognize the humour in the drunken fun of a carnival and are shocked that they get to read about that in school. They quickly learn, as the story progresses, that this is a tale of deceit, revenge, and murder. I love to put my world cloud mug on the desk to set the stage for what is to come.

I ordered these with interiors of yellow, red, maroon, pink, navy blue, and light blue. Note that the navy blue is VERY dark and looks black in some lighting.
