" Caribbean: 1970 - Detailed West Indies map ... Poster

National Geographic published this beautiful detailed map of the West Indies and Central America in January 1970. It accompanied the article "The Netherlands Antilles: Holland in the Caribbean". The map contains numerous detailed maps showing over 30 islands. You will also find maps of the Panama Canal Zone and the cities of Kingston, Nassau, San Juan and Charlotte Amalie. The splashdown points of the various space missions, which are also shown on this map, are particularly interesting. Other map details include the ocean bathymetry, prevailing winds and warm currents, highways, roads, railroads, and airports.
