Cape Disapointment Lighthouse

Cape Disappointment stands on a massive headland at the mouth of the Columbia River in Washington State. It is located on the southern tip of Longbeach near the town of Ilawco, WA. It is part of the Cape Disappointmnet State Park and is the oldest functioning lighthouse on the West Coast. The hike that brings you to the base of the lighthouse is absolutely beautiful with aquamarine coves and tall firs and the view from the lighthouse is breath taking.
