This Christian flat card (with or without an envelope) has the Canticle of the Creatures written by St. Francis of Assisi in the 1200s. This hymn of praise is about how all of God's Creation is beautiful and interdependent. It praises God for the creatures (living beings as well as the sun, moon, stars, wind, water, fire and earth), for those who forgive for the love of God, and for Sister Bodily Death. This poem, but also a prayer, is one of the oldest texts in Italian literature, the first of which the author is known.
