Caen Hill locks on the Kennet and Avon Canal, near Devizes, Wiltshire. This photo shows the middle section of 16 locks, the complete flight comprises of 29 locks giving a rise of 237 feet over a length of 2 miles. The section of the Kennet and Avon canal between Bath and Newbury was opened in 1810.
