Canada Red Maple Leaf Retro Sunglasses
Classic Canadian maple leaf, an eleven point stylized symbol which represents all ten species of maple tree growing in Canada, including the silver maple, red maple, sugar maple and others. Perfect for Canadian travelers, tourists, tourist and tourism shops or retail outlets, Canada Day, visitors to Canada, keepsake or souvenir of Canada, or a gift for friends and loved ones far away; for eye-catching everyday wear, special occasions, theme parties, outdoor celebrations, sporting events or going to the mall.
The maple leaf was first adopted as an emblem by settlers in New France along the St Lawrence River in the 1700s. It was soon used by English and French speaking colonists. It was a green leaf for Lower Canada (French, Quebec) and a gold for Upper Canada (English, Ontario). The maple leaf appeared on the Canadian coat of arms in 1921, and in February 1965 became the central image of the official flag on Canada, along with the current colours of red and white.
Some Canada trivia and Canadian facts! Canada is the second-largest country in the word, after Russia. The border of Canada and the United States is the world's longest land border. Canada is home to about 35.6 million people. The original inhabitants of this land were First Nations (inc. Cree, Chippewa, Algonquin, Huron, Haida et al) and Inuit people. The first known attempted settlements were by Vikings in about 1000 AD. The capital city of Canada is Ottawa, Ontario; its largest city is Toronto, Ontario. Canada's major exports include crude oil, liquid petroleum gas, cars, gold and coal, in that order. Our beautiful country is also famous for amazing natural scenery such as the West Coast and Pacific Rim, the Rocky Mountains, the Great Lakes, the golden Prairies, the Arctic tundra and the breathtaking Atlantic Coast. The Canadian national motto is "from sea to sea", which is written in Latin (a mari usque ad mare) on the coat of arms. Celebrate Canada!

I ordered glasses with a custom design and they arrived damaged. The replacement forum was too buggy to use, but I was able to send a request through the general contact forum - they replied and confirmed a replacement was sent within a few days. If you're trying to make a symmetrical pattern, trust the pattern editor - don't trust the glasses preview, as the render will make one eye look slightly off. The editor is also slightly asymmetrical: I wasn't able to make the pattern perfect, but it's good enough that the offset isn't noticeable.

These custom shades were the hit of the prom at this year's Small Press Expo. Lots of people asked about them and where they could get their own. Great print quality on the shades.
