Camellia Plate: Benibotan Postcard
A bold, multi-layered camellia with a companion bud—deep red petals arranged like a sculpted rosette. The precise leaf veining and clean plate border give it a curated, reference-grade feel. Painted by Toshio Yamada (1882–1941), who devoted his career to accurate botanical plates alongside Tomitaro Makino.
Note: Color correction processing was performed using public domain data from the Digital Collections of the National Diet Library.
