This Calavera Catrina Postcard makes a wonderfully macabre card for anyone into skeletons, momento mori or calavera artwork. The lady skeleton shown here is wearing a frilly feathered high society ladies hat. This is vintage work by Jose Guadalupe Posada and is called Calavera Catrina (Dapper Skeleton). It was originally published as a broadside around 1910. This most fashionable calavera is one of Jose Guadalupe Posada's most famous works of art representing the working class mexicans of his time.
