Early spring heralds my favourite type of yard work: burning brush. Flickering yellow and orange flames consume a pile of pine cones and sticks, leaving some light grey ash in the foreground. The dancing fire patterns take up most of the photo angling diagonally up to the left. The edges of the blackened pine cones glow orange highlighting their texture and form. I love journals and notebooks, so I was very excited to be able to order one using a piece of my artwork as the cover design. I can say this because the cover is my own digital design, so I have the original artwork to compare the colors. The colors are exact to the artwork.
