Like most sheepdogs, Briards are wary of strangers: canine or human. The Briard is a member of the Herding Group and was first recognized by the AKC in 1928. This dog is also called Berger de Brie. Famous Briards include: "Tramp" from My Three Sons, "Jasper" from Bachelor Father, "Buck" from Married with Children, "Reno" from Top Dog and "Rosie" from Dennis the Menace.
