WW II poster with a quote from FDR. While a person can be killed books and ideas can't be. The most effective weapons are our ideas. Ideas are what separate us from our enemies, and ultimately our battle is over ideas. Confidence in the power of our ideas means we oppose the closing of libraries or the burning of books, no matter how abhorrent. Make no mistake. Those prattling about "cancel culture" are the ones practicing it. They cannot abide any ideas but their own. They want "freedom of speech" which they think means saying what they want without consequence while supporting laws that define any street protest as a riot, and kneeling in silence as an attack on the flag. They will lose. Books will prevail.
