The cup seems to be good quality, not to thin/brittle, and so, appears that it will hold up well. This was a birthday gift celebrating hubby's first published work. He has four more of the series, and I'll be picking up matching set mugs for his other book covers too. It's a fun way to promote his work to others too. Very satisfied with the image quality...looks like the cover art to me. I did send the original artist's jpeg. It was a good match.
