Blue Wave - fractal art Large Coffee Mug
It's a giant wave just about to crash. It's a massive black spiral unfolding from the centre of the image and radiating gentle blue light. From the centre - the crest of the wave, comes another spiral, this one tiny, intricate and fragile, reverberating the first one. And there are all sorts of symmetrical, self-repeating shapes running all over the image creating snowflake shapes. With the colours going from black to white through all shades of blue, this design has some kind of winter atmosphere. It is fractal art. The whole image is generated by complex mathematical function proving that math can be beautiful if you put nice colours to it :)

I was looking for a cheerful, vibrantly coloured, fun, extra large , MCM designed mug for my first coffee of the day. This fits the bill! The print is purrfect and the colours are SO vibrant. The design definitely gives a true MCM vibe. The placement of the art is the only negative for me. I would prefer the main image be on opposite sides of the mug, rather than placed so close together, and not able to be seen by the drinker (me!) or the person opposite me (if there is one :-).
