The background is the vintage wallpaper pattern "Marigold" designed by William Morris (1834–1896 ), ca.1875,, now in the public domain. It is dominated by blue leaves on a white background, but has also some blue marigold flowers.
The text is written in a white oval, with blue letters, except the name and title 70th Birthday Party, which are golden, the title being written in a calligraphic script,;the rest is in caps.
