Blue Eye Albania Postcard
The Blue Eye (Syri i Kaltër) is a stunning natural water spring located in a lush grove near Sarandë. A rare geological phenomenon, the spring pumps crystal-clear, ice-cold water up from a mysterious cave system more than fifty metres deep, creating a hypnotic pool.
The water forms a striking dark blue centre that resembles the pupil of an eye, surrounded by brilliant, glowing turquoise fringes. Framed by thick oak and plane trees, dragonfly-filled air, and wild ferns, it feels like an enchanted oasis straight out of a fairy tale.
