Blue and Rose Antique Turkish Oriental Rug Design Lumbar Pillow

This design started with a photo of a hand-woven Yastik, which are small size oriental rugs that were traditionally used on the divans or sofa benches of traditional Turkish living rooms. This beauty has mostly faded denim blues and rich dusty rose reds. The amazing blues show off the abrash, which refers to the variation in the different dyes of an Oriental rug. The rug depicted in this artwork is over 110 years old and has aged beautifully. This design has a flower in the centre medallion and the borders are also floral. It's a simple design with a spectacular result, ready to enliven any décor.
