Berenice Abbott, a successful portrait photographer in Paris who had studied with Man Ray, returned to the United States and worked in documentary photography. Her 1935 photograph entitled "Blossom Restaurant, 103 Bower" shows a step-down Bowery restaurant with price sheet in front [nothing over thirty-five cents] and a man emerging from the stairwell. Barbershop to the right offers haircuts for a dime. This photograph is from a federally funded series called "Changing New York."

The shipping was the problem. Box was flimsy and item got bent.. only suggestion would have been to put in a canister or mark fragile. Printing was exactly as shown
