Blanket NATIONAL MUSEUM MONTFORD POINT MARINES

My personal line of products represents and celebrates the history of the Marine Corps, with a specific emphasis on character, and products commemorating the Montford Point Marines, the first black Marines (1942 to 1949). In 2010, a bill was introduced in the U.S. Senate to award the Congressional Gold Medal to the Montford Point Marines. The Congressional Gold Medal bill has been passed. The men served in all-black units, mostly in the Pacific Theatre, and distinguished themselves while battling racism from within and enemies from without. In 1965, the Montford Point Marine Association, a military service group, was founded following a convention of former Montford Point Marines.
