View of the famous local surf spot "Blackies" from the parking lot in Newport Beach, California. The lifeguard Tower 22 in between 2 palm trees. Back in 1953, William "Blackie" Blackstock opened the dive bar, Blackies by the Sea. Since then, locals have called this beach "Blackies", and it is a popular surf spot for long boarders and beginners. Photo taken November 2022.
