A Blackfoot Indian dressed in deer skin, eagle feathers and wearing war paint with a rifle in his hand rides a white nicely decorated Arabian Horse being chased by settler on horseback. The horse looks to be wearing a bear skin saddle and has different leather, bead and feather decor. A painting from life by Karl Bodmer of a Blackfoot warrior ca. 1840-1843
